Our 5th Ordinary General Assembly Was Held with the Participation of 35 Members

Our 5th Ordinary General Assembly was held on May 12, 2025, at the İTO Foundation Cemile Sultan Grove with the participation of 35 members. With the majority’s recommendation and unanimous approval, Ms. Meral Önder was elected as the Chair of the Council, while Ms. Ezgi Özyurt Cengiz and Mr. Ahmet Kolukırık were appointed as clerks. After the roll call conducted by the Council, the quorum was confirmed with 35 signed attendees, and the General Assembly was officially opened. The session began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the Turkish National Anthem accompanied by the national flag, in honor of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, and all our martyrs.

Following this, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hasan Çep, was invited to deliver the opening speech and presented the association’s activity report both verbally and visually to the General Assembly. Subsequently, the Audit Committee report, along with the association’s balance sheet and financial statements, was presented by the Treasurer, Ms. Aylin Çivici. These reports were unanimously approved and ratified by the members.

The elections then commenced under the supervision of the Council Chair. Upon asking whether there were any candidates for the Board of Directors, a candidate list was submitted and unanimously approved by the General Assembly. The newly elected Board of Directors, under the leadership of Ms. Beste Özdeşlik, was then officially announced. Ms. Özdeşlik, on behalf of the new board, shared the strategic outlook and key projects planned for the upcoming term.

The General Assembly concluded after the wishes and recommendations segment and was followed by a luncheon. We hope that this new term will bring positive developments for our country and the industry.
