As the Association of Industrial Furnace Manufacturers and Businesspeople, we have visited several facilities since last year, including İBB İSTAÇ, Ereğli Demirçelik, İçdaş, and Çanakkale Seramik facilities. Recently, we also visited the Karabük Iron and Steel Works.
On October 3, 2023, we visited our country’s pride, the Karabük Iron and Steel Works, together with our members. The visit, led by Efsiad Chairman Dr. Hasan Çep and attended by Efsiad Honorary Chairman Mehmet Özdeşlik, included a total of 48 participants.
The General Manager of Karabük Iron and Steel, Mr. Necdet Utkanlar, personally welcomed us at the Education and Culture Center building. During the visit, the Deputy General Manager, Mr. Ahmet Aycan, and the Rolling Mills Manager, Mr. Sait Hadutoğlu, accompanied us throughout the tour.
At the introductory ceremonies held at the Karabük Iron and Steel Education and Culture Center, General Manager Mr. Necdet Utkanlar delivered an inspiring yet realistic speech on localization, emphasizing that many achievements can be realized through a culture of collaboration.
Efsiad Vice Chairman, Ms. Demet Erten, thanked Mr. Utkanlar and delivered an impactful presentation introducing the association. After the speeches, Efsiad Chairman Dr. Hasan Çep and our Honorary Chairman Mr. Mehmet Özdeşlik presented plaques to Mr. Utkanlar as a token of appreciation.
Following a very successful technical tour, our visit concluded with an evening dinner in Amasra together with our members.
